At Orchard Therapeutic Care, your safety and wellbeing come first. We have clear policies and safeguarding procedures in place to make sure every young person in our care feels protected, respected, and supported. These policies help us stay consistent and make good decisions.
Safeguarding is about keeping you safe – not only physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
This means we will:
Take action straight away if you ever feel unsafe or at risk
Make sure bullying, harm, neglect or exploitation are never ignored
Support you in speaking up if something isn’t right
Work with social workers, families, health professionals and other agencies to keep you safe
You can talk to any member of staff if something worries you. We’ll always listen, take you seriously, and act quickly.
Our policies explain how we make decisions, keep everyone safe, and stay consistent. These include:
Anti-Bullying Policy
Complaints Policy
Confidentiality Policy
Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) Policy
Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Policy
E-Safety Policy
Missing Young Person Policy
Gangs & Youth Violence Policy
Illicit Substances Policy
Forced Marriage Policy
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Policy
CCTV Policy
Notification of Serious Events Policy
Prevent (Counterterrorism) Policy
These policies aren’t just paperwork – they guide how we support you every day.
If you’d like to read any of them, just ask your Registered Manager. We’ll explain them in a way that makes sense and answer any questions you have.
